It was a beautiful Tuesday evening along Lake Champlain just off North Avenue. Ten Rotarians showed up to plant trees along an attractive park entrance to the bucolic lake path.
We were led by Burlington Parks & Rec's Dan Cahill.  Thanks for the help, Dan! With two productive community gardens on our left and right, we planted and mulched an attractive new tree line that hopefully provides beauty and shade for many, many years.
As stated by Todd Stoilov on Facebook:  "Rotary International President Ian H.S. Riseley announced his presidential theme for the new year, Rotary: Making a Difference. He also challenged all Rotarians to plant a tree.  We worked with Dan Cahill of the Burlington Parks & Recreation to plant some trees around the Community Gardens on North Avenue. Making a difference and having fun. The Sunrise Rotary Way!"  Here are some more fun pics from the event (most of them taken by Todd) --
By the way, did you know Andy Duback is the "Tree Whisperer"?
