Serving meals to cancer patients & care givers
For 2017 and 2018, The Burlington Sunrise Rotary Club has committed to serving dinner on the first Monday of every month at Burlington's Hope Lodge.

The Hope Lodge provides free lodging and meals to cancer patients and their care givers.  Per their own web site:

Each Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows guests to focus on getting better. Hope Lodge provides a nurturing, home-like environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others. Every Hope Lodge also offers a variety of resources and information about cancer and how best to fight the disease.
Rotarian Laura Bowe urged our club to sign up for 12 months of meals.  It has been our pleasure to both cook healthy meals and enjoy the food with the patients and care givers.  Battling cancer isn't easy, and we're happy to our small part to help patients and their loved ones.  Click here to see a story about one of our first visits.

The Hope Lodge is a fantastic initiative by the American Cancer Society -- please help by donating here.
